Valentines Day Chocolate Truffles

In a world of convenience, where supermarket chocolate boxes and service station flowers practically jump into your arms, taking the time to make something yourself is a great way to show how much you really care.

Here is my late great Auntie Ivy’s chocolate truffle recipe. Beautifully balanced, with a hint of bitter coffee and brandy, these rich delicacies melt in your mouth.

Chocolate & Brandy Truffles

Chocolate Truffles

300g Dark chocolate
50g Cocoa
½ cup Espresso – cold
50ml Cold milk
1 shot Brandy
250ml Cream

  • Melt chocolate with cream.
  • Stir cocoa into cold coffee, milk and brandy.
  • Stir into chocolate.
  • Cool a little.
  • Roll into balls & coat with cocoa.
